More About Imogene

Imogene is published in a range of romance genres including Paranormal, Science Fiction and Contemporary. She is mainly published in the UK and USA.

In 2011, Imogene Nix (the pen name not Imogene herself) was born. Imogene sat down and worked tirelessly for 3 months culminating in the books Starline, which became the first in a trilogy titled, “Warriors of the Elector,” and since then Imogene has successfully been contracted for many titles, not to mention the ones finished on her computer! In 2017 Imogene decided to self publish and in 2024, she’s now published over 50 books under her Love Books Publishing (Aus) imprint.

Imogene is a member of a range of professional organisations world wide, and believes in the mantra of mentoring and paying it forward, and to date has mentored a number of authors to publication as well.

She lives in Queensland is parenting her spoiled dogs and ferocious cats and tending her gardens as Stormhaven, along with her husband, with her daughter and son in law making frequent appearances.

Making the leap from reader to writer.

Being a compulsive reader, ideas and stories were usually rattling around in her head. As a young girl, crinolines populated her books, much to the chagrin of her mother!

As a teen, reading moved into more science fiction genres, with Piers Anthony and Anne McCaffrey making regular appearances, as well as the Bolitho books by Alexander Kent which introduced her to english naval procedures of the late 1700′s and early 1800′s.

Not exactly the norm for a girl, but they intrigued her as she devoured the strategy involved. Only in latter years did paranormal romance (PNR) and the odd urban fantasy (UF) make an entry into her reading fare.

In the last few years, it has been the JD Robb, Julia Spencer-Fleming and Linnea Sinclair influences, together with the likes of Cynthia Eden, Lara Adrian among a range of other authors which have influenced her writing style. Each has played their own part in shaping her as a reader, and as a result, a writer as well.
